Mogen Market gets a makeover

Mogen Market has been redesigned for the new school year.
The new Mogen Market includes chairs, tables, and a sofa for students. There are also board games and magazines for students to enjoy while in the new seating area. An XM Radio station plays throughout the store and a microwave is now available for use.
“The reason we did that was to try to create a place for students to come in and sit down, study, hang out with friends, play some games or grab something to eat. We really were trying to produce a new lounge area for students,” said Martin Finfrock, General Manager of Sodexo at California Lutheran University.
Sodexo has a new program called Pick Three where students can use their meal plan to purchase a meal, drink and complimentary snack.
Other additions are the wider selections of food and beverages, including new drinks and microwavable meals.
“For breakfast Pick Three, we have cereals, bagels, muffins and an assortment of juices. For dinner, we have salads, sandwiches and drinks available. We hope this will help students who would like to grab something to eat after class, or get a quick dinner or even a late night snack,” said Aaron T. Peerapruk, retail manager for Sodexo.
“I definitely love all the changes that they have made to Mogen Mart. It is more accessible and friendly for all students since it now offers seating to enjoy your food,” junior Crystal Guzman said. “I am excited that they have more food options and are fully stocked. The variety is great and makes it possible for me to grab a quick snack there instead of having to go to the store.”
Mogen Market is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight. On weekends, it is open from 5 p.m. to midnight.
