Criss Angel cancels Las Vegas Shows
On Oct. 23, illusionist Criss Angel canceled performances of his show “Believe” at the Luxor in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
Angel, whose real name is Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos, has canceled his shows to fly to Australia to be with his 2-year-old son Johnny Christopher Sarantakos, who has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, according to E! News.
The Luxor has confirmed that Angel will return on Nov. 1, but this is the first time he’s missed any dates of his 3,000 performances run at the hotel, the source also reported.
Angel posted a photo of him holding his son shortly after the announcement, confirming that he’s a father for the first time after months of rumors, according to E! News.
Adele confirms release date for ‘25’
Adele has confirmed the release date of her highly anticipated album “25” which is set to hit stores on Nov. 20, according to The Guardian.
The singer said on her Facebook page that her previous album “21” was a “break up” record, but the new album is a “make-up” record, according to the source, as it’s her way of making up with herself for lost time and everything she’s ever done and never done.
Adele’s first single, “Hello” was released on Oct. 23, and has reached more than 60 million views on YouTube, according to the Guardian. The “Hello” video was filmed in five days outside of Montreal by 26-year-old Canadian director Xavier Dolan who shot the music video earlier this month with IMAX cameras, the source reported.
Adele approached Dolan because she was impressed by his films “Mommy” and “I Killed My Mother,” according to the New York Times, due to the emotion portrayed in each of his films.
Mythbusters announces final season
After 250 episodes and nearly 3,000 experiments, “Mythbusters” will be ending after its 14th season, according to E! News.
In a statement released by Rich Ross, group president of Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Science Channel, the library of “Mythbusters” episodes will be moved to Discovery Channel’s sister network in 2016.
Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, the show’s stars, have known season 14 would be their last and have planned a special final run, according to Entertainment Weekly. Savage and Hyneman are back on the road for the Mythbusters Live tour starting next month and both anticipate this will be the last time the duo works together, Entertainment Weekly reports.
According to E! News, the final season starts on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. on Discovery Channel.
