To kick off Latine Heritage Month, the Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion hosted the Latine Heritage Fiesta in Kingsmen Park on Friday, Sept. 15. The event worked in collaboration with Foodie Friday, which is hosted by California Lutheran University’s Student Life. Live music from โJuanka and Friendsโ accompanied the start of Foodie Friday which offered food from Famous Tacos. Activities were offered to help educate guests on celebrating and representing Latine culture, including Cal Lutheranโs Latine student body. Cumbia and Salsa Rhythm dancing were also taught in a follow-along class with Performer Isis Avalos-Perez.
