Resident Assistants Carlee Enos and Laura Flores hosted a “Pilates in the Park” co-program on the Mogen lawn on April 23.
The program was led by Courtland Witt, Pilates instructor and student at California Lutheran University.
Students with varying levels of Pilates experience participated in a beginner-friendly class instructed by Witt. Yoga mats, snacks, and refreshments were provided to event attendees.
“We felt that, during this stressful time in the semester, we wanted to tailor our program to moving our bodies. Therefore, our pilates in the park idea came about as a way to try something new if you have never done pilates, and to take a moment to take care of yourself,” Flores said.
Resident Assistants host programs monthly, and do a co-program once a month. These programs vary from resident socials to more interactive events like the Pilates in the Park.
