News Brief: Cameron vows to bring ISIS to justice

British Prime Minister David Cameron named British aid worker David Haines a hero after a video was released Saturday showing his beheading by the militant group Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, according to the Los Angeles Times. Cameron also vowed to work with an international alliance to “hunt down those responsible and bring them to justice.” Britain has joined the United States in its efforts to stop ISIS by providing assistance to the Iraqi military and to Kurdish fighting forces in northern Iraq. Cameron did not comment on whether Britain would participate in the US airstrikes against the Islamic State.
