California Lutheran University Pride Club’s annual Drag Show is happening next Wednesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. The event takes place every spring semester and is pivoting to a virtual platform this year.

“Normally we would have people perform in the forum,” Alaina Murphy, junior and social media/outreach coordinator for Pride Club said in a phone interview. “What we’ve done [this year] is we’ve had our performers pre-record videos of their performances.”

The annual event is Pride Club’s largest and draws many Cal Lutheran students, though this year it may have fewer participants.

“We definitely have less interest this year, understandably everyone’s pretty busy,” Murphy said. “We’ve got a small show but everyone is really excited about it and putting their heart into it so it’ll be great nonetheless.”

The show, hosted in partnership between Pride Club and the Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion, will feature live commentary, audience interaction, prize giveaways and will feature a Q & A at the end of the show with the participants.
