The Associated Students of California Lutheran University Government hosted its annual Fall Carnival on Friday, Oct. 18. The event took place over the Homecoming weekend and was held in Buth Park.
From face painting, rock climbing, to a permanent jewelry stand; the carnival was filled with students, families and alumni.
Ali Gregory, Cal Lutheran senior and ASCLUG programs board director, said the event was successful.
“We’ve pretty much sold out of tickets within the first hour,” Gregory said.
Gregory also said there were some last-minute rearrangements with the layout.
“We did have to flip a couple things around, our layout kind of moved around due to wind,” Gregory said.
Lamarr Smith, Cal Lutheran junior and attendee, said his favorite part of the carnival was the Ferris wheel. While it wasn’t Smith’s first time at the carnival, he said he encouraged himself to get more involved by attending the Homecoming festival.
“I try to get out more, try to be more out [and] doing events,” Smith said.
Alex Loza, ASCLUG junior representative, said it took more than five hours to put everything together.
Loza said his favorite part about organizing the second-biggest event of the year was how rewarding it felt.
“It went pretty smoothly. It was windy in the morning but it calmed down and it turned out pretty well, everyone’s happy,” Loza said.
