The show, which took place in the Preus-Brandt Forum, featured a wide array of performances, ranging from an original solo sung by junior Jack Levi, to a choreographed dance number by the Cal Lutheran Dance Club.ย
According to Hadyn Hughes, the co-president of the Theatre Club on campus, the showcase was an opportunity for students to perform what they are passionate about. She also speaks on how the show was a chance for students interested in technical theater to learn more about it.ย
โWhether that’s running sound, lights, doing stage management, we have a lot of options,โ Hughes said. โWe want to make things that the members of the club can be proud of.โ
According to Hughes, the goal of the Theatre Club is to encourage students and faculty to come support, as well as the community.ย
Hughes said that it is important to support the Theatre Club, saying, โUnfortunately it is a dying art, but it’s such an important one, and it’s really beneficial, more beneficial than people think it is. It’s very healing for audience members and performersโ she said.ย
